Two More Huernias

Two more of my huernias have been blooming, so I thought I’d share them with you.

Huernia thuretii, or I have also seen it called huernia striata,  does not make a large flower, but the stripes in the design still make it a standout bloom.

Huernia schneiderana has a slightly smaller flower still, but it produces so many blooms at one time that they make a showing on the plant. This one was sort of a cast-off by its previous owner, and when it started blooming, I couldn’t help but wonder why anyone would not want it. The only disadvantage is that the blooms sometimes face downward, making it hard to see the flower.

Add a huernia or two to your collection.
